Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing fresh criticism after the release of a German documentary. Harry: The Lost Princewhich accuses the couple of hypocrisy in transitioning from senior royals to charity lawyers.
The program highlights the perceived disconnect between the couple’s lavish lifestyle and their role as champions of social causes.
It highlights his visits to economically struggling countries such as Nigeria and Colombia, where he was seen wearing expensive designer clothes, raising eyebrows among critics.
Royal reporter Russell Myers backs up the documentary’s claims, saying: “If you’re visiting places with socio-economic problems, wearing tens of thousands of pounds of designer clothes sends the wrong message.”
Additionally, the documentary notes the couple’s admission that they dedicate just one hour each week to their charity, Archwell.
It also draws attention to a sharp $11 million drop in donations to the organization, with contributions falling from $13 million in 2021 to just $2 million in 2022.
