President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended their heartfelt New Year greetings to the people of Pakistan and the international community and expressed hopes for a world free from hunger, poverty, war, terrorism, crime, sectarianism and class divisions in 2025. .
In his address to the nation, President Zardari encouraged us to reflect on the successes and failures of the past year to learn from them and work for a better future.
He stressed the importance of unity, discipline and hard work to tackle the challenges facing the nation. The President also highlighted the importance of investing in the youth of the country and called them the foundation of Pakistan’s future. He emphasized the provision of resources and opportunities to help youth reach their full potential.
Furthermore, he emphasized the need to focus on supporting the marginalized sections of the society to ensure inclusive development for Pakistan.
As the new year begins, he called upon the nation to resolve to work diligently for public service, peace and stability. “I pray to Allah that the new year will be a year of success for the country,” the president concluded.
In his message on this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged the nation to collectively struggle for a better and stronger Pakistan in 2025.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the outgoing year was the worst year in terms of atrocities in the Middle East and India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that our oppressed brothers and sisters had to face the cruelty and brutality of the Indian occupation forces.
Referring to the country’s economic situation, the Prime Minister said that 2024 was a remarkable year for Pakistan, as the country avoided default and progressed, overcoming economic challenges with resilience and determination.
He said that the government took challenging but necessary steps which prevented economic collapse, restored macroeconomic stability, controlled fiscal deficit and strengthened our reserves.
Reflecting on other obstacles, the Prime Minister noted that Pakistan had faced a resurgence of terrorism over the past year. “Nevertheless, our gallant armed forces, with their unwavering dedication and immense sacrifices, remain steadfast in their resolve to ensure a peaceful future for the nation,” he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged the nation to express their determination at the beginning of the new year that they will not hesitate to make any sacrifice to make this country the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
