ISLAMABAD: PPP Secretary General Senator Taj Haider said on Tuesday that the Election Commission of Pakistan’s announcement about the number of registered voters in the country has once again exposed fraud in the latest national census. is
“The Election Commission of Pakistan announced 132,254,310 as the number of registered voters (the registered population of NIC persons above 18 years of age with a gender gap of 10 million votes). This figure of 10 million registered voters should be included in the voter data,” he said in a statement.
He said that another three percent (151 million) of the NADRA population has been missed which they have not yet registered. He argued that the population of 240 million is an obvious deception because it implies that fewer than 90 million people are under 18 years of age.
Senator Taj Haider said that the number of people under 18 years of age is a large part of the population in every country.
“How is it that almost 60 percent of the population in Pakistan is above 18 years and 40 percent below?” he asked.
“It is time we stop deceiving ourselves,” he said. “If we don’t have the basic data right, all our plans will be destroyed,” he warned.
