KARACHI: The weather in Karachi is likely to remain dry with cool nights during the next 24 hours while the temperature may drop to 11 degrees Celsius, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature recorded yesterday was 12.4 degrees Celsius.
“At present, winds are blowing from the northeast at a speed of 10 km per hour and will continue to blow intermittently,” it said.
According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity level in the air was recorded at 28%.
Meanwhile, Quetta and its surroundings are covered with clouds, the weather is very cold and dry. The north-eastern districts of Balochistan are also in the grip of severe cold.
The drop in temperature is so severe that standing water has frozen on roads, streets and drains, adding to the hardships faced by the local population.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold and dry in most of the districts of the province. The hilly areas are expected to remain particularly cold in the coming days, with no immediate relief in sight.
Residents of Quetta and nearby areas, including Kalat and Ziarat, are also facing the problem of low gas pressure, leading to significant challenges for consumers amid freezing temperatures.
