ISLAMABAD: Employees of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital are entitled to allotment of government houses from State Office pool.
Ministry of Housing and Works has informed about this decision in a letter written to DG State Office Islamabad.
The letter said that the Secretary Housing and Works has declared Pimms Hospital workers eligible for allotment of State Office government accommodation. Under Rule 4(2) of the Housing Allotment Rules, 2002, the PIMS management shall hand over its colony or pool houses to the state office pool within 15 days. Employees residing in the colony may continue to reside there as per the Ministry’s policy. Now they can register themselves in the general waiting list of the State Office.
The State Office will not allot official residence to these PIMS employees who are working in other departments on deputation. The PIMS administration will send its general waiting list to the State Office.
Data on allotment of PIMS residences will be shared with the State Office. Workers have to get NOC from state office on retirement. Maintenance of the colony and payment of utility bills will be the responsibility of Pims management.
