Paris Hilton’s longtime wish: The Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act has officially passed.

Paris Hilton is on cloud nine as its efforts to protect institutionalized youth have paid off.

On Wednesday, December 13, media personalities celebrated their victory after the US Congress passed the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act. She took to Instagram to celebrate, which led her to win with gusto.

“Today is a day I will never forget. After years of sharing my story and advocating on Capitol Hill, the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act has officially passed the US Congress,” Hilton, 43. wrote under the title Carousel of 20 Images.

“This moment is proof that our voices matter, that speaking up can make a difference and that no child should ever have to endure the horrors of abuse in silence,” he continued.

The American socialite expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the cause, saying, “To the countless survivors who shared their stories, to the families who stood by us, and to the solidarity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing by me.”

He also acknowledged the lawmakers who helped pass the bill, tagging each one and thanking them for helping him “make his dream come true.”

“And to the children who are still trapped in these systems: I will never stop fighting for you. Change is possible!” Hilton concluded with a powerful message and a series of hashtags.

The Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act sets guidelines for the health, safety, care, treatment, and appropriate placement of youth in boarding schools, boot camps, and similar facilities.

According to the organization’s website, the purpose of the act is to establish best practices and protect children in these systems.

Additionally, Hilton’s family joined her in celebrating the milestone. The series of photos and videos included a clip with her husband Carter Rheaume and a few photos with her son Phoenix.
