Pamela Anderson reveals the truth behind her 12-day marriage to producer Jon Peters.
The 57-year-old actress recently appeared on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast and set the record straight about her brief relationship with Peters.
During the conversation, he was asked about the ‘biggest misconception’ about him.
“I was never married to Jon Peters,” Anderson noted back in 2020 of her highly publicized marriage to the 79-year-old hairdresser-turned-film producer.
“I had just come home from France and my son called me. He goes, ‘You’re not going to believe this. Jon Peters called me. He offered me $20 million if I’d marry him. I can do it,” he continued.
“And he was laughing hysterically. Obviously, we don’t take Jon seriously. Jon is a filmmaker. He’s a wonderful person. He’s very funny.”
Anderson met Jon Peters at a Playboy Mansion party in Los Angeles in the early days of his entertainment career in the 1980s. “I knew him from the beginning. And he kind of pops up here and there. So we said, ‘Well, let’s have lunch with him,'”
Explaining that he offered his son $20 million, he decides to have lunch with Peters alone.
“We had lunch and then he had a bunch of flowers there and he had everybody, all the family was there — I know his daughters — and it was just a funny moment,” Anderson said. admitted. “But I never married Jon. It was never a marriage, but we were just laughing about it. That’s all. But people still think I married him. So this Wikipedia But it’s kind of on my list.”
