The royal family gushed about the Duchess of Edinburgh on Friday as she stepped out for a special engagement.
Prince Edward’s wife brought festive cheer as she visited the Disability Initiative Resource Center in Camberley, near her Surrey home, on Thursday.
Sophie’s engagement comes as she takes on the huge task of carrying on the legacy of her late father-in-law Prince Philip, who supported a charity catering for disabled people for more than 75 years.
“The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron of the Disability Initiative, enjoyed a special Christmas visit to the charity’s resource center in Camberley,” the palace’s statement read alongside the carousel post.
“Her Royal Highness, who has been Patron of the Disability Initiative since 2003, has taken part in various activities with the charity’s clients,” it continued.
“These activities are tailored to the specific needs of adults with disabilities, with the aim of enhancing overall well-being and quality of life. Some of these activities include Christmas caroling, painting and even mince pie making!
