Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Zimbabwe in the third One-Day International (ODI) and series decider at the Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo on Thursday.
Pakistan and Zimbabwe have one match each.
In Tuesday’s match, the Green Shirts, led by Pakistani openers Saeem Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq, defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets to level the three-match series.
Pakistan and Zimbabwe have met 64 times in ODIs with the former holding a dominant record with 55 victories, compared to the opposition’s six for two draws.
The Green Shirts have an equally dominant record in bilateral series as they won 19 out of 21 ODI series, while Zimbabwe managed to draw two series in 1994/95 and 2013.
