KARACHI: Pakistan extended their winning streak at the 2024 Junior Asia Cup Hockey by defeating Bangladesh 6-0 in their second group match in Muscat, Oman on Thursday.

This is Pakistan’s second consecutive win in the tournament, following their opening 7-2 victory over China.

Sufyan Khan performed brilliantly and scored a hat-trick to lead his team to victory. He scored on a penalty corner in the 23rd minute to give Pakistan an early lead.

Moments later, Mohammad Imad doubled the lead with a field goal.

Sufyan scored again in the 32nd and 43rd minutes to extend Pakistan’s lead, back-to-back goals to complete his hat-trick. Rana Waleed scored the fifth goal in the 51st minute and Zakia Hayat completed the scoring with the sixth goal in the last minute of the match.

Mohammad Imad was adjudged the man of the match for his all-round performance in the game.

Pakistan’s next match will be on November 30 where they will face Oman in their third group stage.
