Pakistan won the Blind T20 Cricket World Cup trophy by defeating Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the final in Multan on Tuesday.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 139 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, with Arif Hussain emerging as the top scorer with 54 runs.
Pakistani bowler Babar Ali took three wickets while Motiullah and Mohammad Salman took one wicket each.
Pakistan blind team achieved the target of 140 without any hitch in just 11 overs. An unbreakable partnership of openers Nisar Ali (72) and Mohammad Safdar (47) led the Green Shirts to a 10-wicket win.
The victory is a historic achievement for Pakistan, as it won the Blind T20 World Cup for the first time in the history of the tournament.
The competition, which started in 2012, has seen India dominate the previous editions, with the Men in Blue winning the title in the last three tournaments.
India defeated Pakistan by 29 runs in the final of the first edition played in India in 2012. In the second edition of 2017 as well, India won by 9 wickets against their neighbours.
The third edition, held in India in 2022, this time saw India defeat Bangladesh in the final to lift the trophy.
However, this year, Pakistan broke the trend and lifted the trophy in the fourth edition of the Blind T20 World Cup, which was held in their home country. Their win against Bangladesh not only ended India’s dominance but also marked a milestone in the history of blind cricket.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has congratulated the Pakistan Blind Cricket Team for winning the T20 World Cup final.
“The players performed exceptionally throughout the tournament and earned the honor of becoming T20 World Champions,” said Naqvi.
Appreciating the team’s efforts, Naqvi highlighted the brilliant batting performances of captain Nisar Ali and Mohammad Safdar which led to victory in the final.

He hoped that the team would continue to play with the same spirit and achieve more success in the future.
