Annual Efficiency Competition Parade of Pakistan Navy Fleet was held at Pakistan Navy Dockyard Karachi.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest on this occasion. The event culminated a professionally rewarding and eventful operational year for the combatants of the Pakistan Navy fleet, including warships, submarines and aviation assets.
On the arrival of the Chief Guest, Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb welcomed and Guard of Honor was presented by the Armed Forces. In his address, the Chief of the Pakistan Navy expressed full satisfaction and confidence in the operational preparations of the Pakistan Navy fleet. He commended the dedication and professionalism of the officers and sailors in achieving the 2024 operational objectives and milestones safely and efficiently.
The Admiral acknowledged the fleet’s valuable services to maritime security and protection of national and international sea lines of communication. He highlighted the efforts of Pakistan Navy to ensure security of strategic maritime zones, especially Gwadar Port and marine projects under CPEC. Furthermore, he elaborated on the evolving dynamics of the region, particularly the maritime security environment, which requires that the Pakistan Navy must be prepared to counter any threat to the country’s maritime borders. The time is ready.
Earlier in his welcome address, Commander Pakistan Fleet highlighted the operational achievements of the fleet during the past year. He emphasized that the fleet maintained a high level of combat readiness throughout the year, with its units participating in various bilateral and multilateral exercises in domestic and foreign waters. Additionally, the fleet conducted numerous regional maritime security patrols and overseas deployments. During the ceremony, the Chief of the Naval Staff presented performance awards and trophies to the best performing squadrons and units of the Pakistan Navy Fleet Command.
