Lahore: The Peshawar team was bowled out for 171 runs in the first innings on the first day of the first match of the tri-nation phase of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, thanks to the excellent performance of the Sialkot bowlers.

Peshawar’s fourth wicket fell at a total score of 83 runs when top scorer Obaidullah was dismissed for 35 runs with the help of 8 fours.
Before the lunch break, the Peshawar team had also lost their fifth wicket at a total score of 93 and Peshawar’s last 5 wickets in the second session could only add 55 runs to the score. Sialkot opened their first innings confidently with Asher Mahmood and Azan Owais adding 74 runs to their partnership when play was called off early due to low light. Asher Mahmood was not out for 31 runs with the help of 5 fours. Azan Owais was at the crease for 38 runs with the help of 6 fours in his innings.
It should be remembered that at the end of the group matches of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the top teams of the three groups Sialkot, Peshawar and Lahore Whites have qualified for the tri-national stage.
The second match of this phase will be played between Lahore Whites and Peshawar in Abbottabad from December 2, while in the final match of the tri-nation phase, Lahore Whites and Sialkot teams will face each other on December 27. The top two teams from the Tri-National stage will make it to the finals, which will be played from January 2.
