Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai Shares Highlights of 2024 Commemoration

As we prepare to bid farewell to the current year, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai recalls all the lessons learned and memories the peace activist made in 2024.

On her Instagram account on Monday, Malala shared a series of photos and videos, recounting some stories about memories made in 2024.

The peace and human rights advocate had set a goal of running on the treadmill for an hour, but she only managed to run for a few minutes.

“Then one day in September, I got on the treadmill and just wouldn’t stop! Even after the hour was up, I felt like I could keep going,” she wrote.

He said that at first he was not giving up on running, but now his body wants to achieve more.

The 27-year-old then talked about her husband Aseer Malik, saying that she likes to have him by her side for big events and quiet moments. “He brings joy wherever he goes and helps me see the world in new ways,” she said.

Malala also talked about how grateful she was for her friends, recalling how she treasured long walks, long dinners and late-night chats with them.

The activist further said that she was most inspired by Afghan women and girls. “From students and athletes to activists and filmmakers, I saw Afghans around the world leading the fight against the Taliban’s gender-based and racially oppressive regime,” she wrote.

He hoped that everyone would support him in his fight and efforts and provide education and equality to all Afghans.

“May your 2025 be filled with love, friendship and good health, may peace and justice find a home in every corner of our world,” Malala wrote in the post.
