So imagine my surprise (and delight!) when I found this goofy pair in the aisles of Trader Joe’s.
There are few things in this life I love more than crispy, salty potato chips and funky blue cheese. TJ’s combines the best of both worlds with a new twist. Cashel Blue® Cheese Irish Potato Chipswhich are available for a limited time. You can get a 5.5-ounce bag for $2.99. If that sounds like a small bag, you’re right. It’s about half the size of a standard bag of chips, but probably for good reason. Once you open a bag of these delicious, rich, crunchy and salty chips, they’re almost impossible to stop eating.

Why I Love Trader Joe’s Blue Cheese Potato Chips
As a big fan of Irish Crips, one thing that struck me about them was their appearance. They are definitely plump and have peaks, making them a good option for breakfast or lunch. drowning. The chips are coated in a generous amount of a buttery, funky, cheesy coating derived from Cashel Blue® (note the trademark!), one of the most popular items produced in the Emerald Isle. Cashel Blue® is a firm, semi-soft blue cheese that has been made in the same style for over 40 years in County Tipperary. It’s bold but more approachable than classic Stilton. Think more round and buttery, less funky and sharp. The flavor is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a chip, but if I had to try to describe it, I’d say it tastes like the best sour cream and onion chip you’ve ever had. Like, but slightly better and more sophisticated.
