More than Rs 2.9 million was released for the treatment of children of police personnel.

LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar on Saturday released funds worth more than 29 lakh rupees for the treatment of children of police personnel.

According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, Rs 1 million was given for the bone marrow transplant of Constable Muhammad Buta’s son, Rs 500,000 for brain tumor treatment of Toba Tek Singh’s 5-year-old daughter of Inspector Ali Nadeem, and Rs 500,000 for cancer. Treatment of Senior Traffic Warden Yasir Jameel’s four-year-old daughter, Php 400,000 for treatment Php 400,000 for the treatment of 10-year-old daughter of Constable Khalid Naseem, Sargodha Lady Sub-Inspector Hadiya Sami, Php 250,000 for her daughter’s treatment and Constable Nasir 35,000 to Hussain for the treatment of his 4-year-old daughter. Treatment of traffic warden Ajmal Ali’s daughter.

The IGP released the funds after scrutiny and approval by the Welfare Management Committee.

Meanwhile, a screening of an animated cartoon for the children of policemen was organized at the Central Police Office School on Saturday.

According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, a large number of children enjoyed the movie “The Lion King”.
