Margaret Mizen has expressed her shock at reports that her son’s killer recorded music about the murder.
His comments came after the Justice Department opened an investigation into Jack Farahi, a drill rap artist who released a song that specifically referenced the 2008 murder of 16-year-old Jimmy Mazen. .
Farhi was sentenced to a minimum of 14 years in prison. It was released on license in June 2023.
Ms Mizen told BBC Breakfast that she was “a bit gutted” that she wanted answers as to why the lyrics were allowed.
