Singer Miles Smith has been announced as the winner of the 2025 Brit Rising Star Award.
The 26-year-old, from Luton, competed against soul singer Elmeny and East London indie duo Good Neighbors for the top prize.

To be nominated for the Rising Star Award, artists cannot have a Top 20 album or multiple Top 20 singles by October 31.
During the coronavirus lockdown four years ago, Myles began posting covers online and in 2022 went viral with his acoustic version of The Neighborhood’s Sweeter Weather.
After taking the name BBC presents Artist of the YearMiles told Newsbeat that he finally felt “comfortable in my own skin.”

Since being named a Rising Star of 2024, The Last Dinner Party have sold out a tour and released their debut album, A Prelude to Ecstasy.
