During the coronavirus lockdown four years ago, Myles began posting covers online and in 2022 went viral with his acoustic version of The Neighborhood’s Sweeter Weather.
After taking the name BBC presents Artist of the YearMiles told Newsbeat that he finally felt “comfortable in my own skin.”
“I think what this year has taught me is that expectations are comforting. But very rarely are they exactly what we imagine,” he said.
Since being named a Rising Star of 2024, The Last Dinner Party have sold out a tour and released their debut album, A Prelude to Ecstasy.
The Brit Awards will be broadcast live from the O2 in London on Saturday 1 March.
