A man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was shot dead outside a church in northwest London.
Michelle Sadio, 44, was killed in a shooting outside the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church on Gifford Road in Harlesdon at around 21:30 GMT on December 14.
Tehjan Somersall, 18, of Lafon Avenue, Feltham, has been charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, the Metropolitan Police said.
He was remanded in custody and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, police said. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey later.
Five more people were arrested at addresses in Brent and Hounslow in connection with the fatal shooting, the Met said.
They are all men – two aged 18 and the others aged 21, 24 and 33 – and are in custody.
Ms Sadio attended the rising ceremony at the church.
She died at the scene, while two men, aged in their 30s, were also injured, the force said.
