Meghan Markle apparently didn’t understand her role during her time in the royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex, who stepped out as a senior royal with her husband Prince Harry in 2020, had different expectations for a life of service.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jenny Bond said OK! magazine: “I have always maintained that Meghan failed to understand that she would never be top dog in the royal family… or even deputy top dog.
“There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be in full control and in charge of your life. There’s nothing wrong with seeking the limelight. It’s just that the royal family was the wrong vehicle for his ambitions.”
Meanwhile, expert Phil Dampier told The Sun: “To be honest, I don’t think she ever plans to stay in the royal family.
“Unfortunately, I think she was prepared to have a lavish wedding that cost millions of pounds, but I don’t think her heart was ever in it, and I think she always intended to leave, So the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and that’s what we’re seeing now,” he noted.
