PESHAWAR: The Women Business Development Center will introduce new skill modules for training keeping in view the latest market needs.

Malik Riaz Awan, newly appointed managing director (MD) of the center while addressing a function said, “This decision has been taken to enable the beneficiaries to do business from home by introducing products on e-business platforms. can be equipped with art.” Function

“The Women Business Development Center will continue its journey of providing support and support to empower needy women by providing them with the latest skill training,” he said after assuming charge.

The new MD vowed to continue the work with the same pace and passion with which the institution was established to equip needy women with advanced professional skills. Begum Kulsoom Saifullah Khan, social worker and the first woman federal minister of Pakistan.

“It was established 30 years ago in Hayatabad by Begum Kulsoom Saifullah Khan with the support of the then provincial government which provided a building for skill training”, he told reporters.

Since its inception, the center has helped thousands of women, including orphan girls, widows and poor students, learn various skills and start businesses, he said. It provides vocational training in various skills including sewing, embroidery, handicrafts, make-up, cooking, painting etc.

Riaz Awan further said that deserving women across the province are benefiting from this initiative of Kulsoom Saifullah Khan, who was also a founding member of All Pakistan Women’s Association.

Efforts will also be made to develop linkages between skilled women and micro-banking authorities for small-scale loans to start businesses, he added. “It is a special facility for women in need, which provides a safe and hassle-free learning environment,” she said.

She added that women from diverse backgrounds can benefit from this center whose sole objective is to help and empower women in need by providing them with various skills.
