One last thing… In remembering Manmohan Singh ji from the heart today are also those political parties, leaders and organizations who are strongly opposed to his economic policies. When Manmohan Singh implemented the new economic policies, the people’s movement and progressive political leaders called him anti-people and anti-national and feared the destruction of our economy. Opposition to policies of privatization and globalization is still the idiom of progressive politics today. But some respect for Manmohan Singh also acknowledges the fact that the predictions of the country’s supremacy do not seem to be true. Inequality increased, but poverty decreased. Indian powers do not gain strength by pushing world powers. Remembering Manmun Singh ji also expresses a hidden vision of a re-examination of his ideological insistence.
