A man In Massachusetts Police say he received a “fatal electric shock” while putting Christmas lights on a large tree.
The incident happened Wednesday morning in Wellesley when the victim — identified as a contractor by a homeowner — was hanging holiday lights using a pole, according to the town’s police department. was
“It appears that the pole being used came close to, or came into contact with, a primary power line on a utility pole,” the Wellesley Police Department said in a statement. “Apparently it appears that the victim has received death threats. electric shock”
“The 911 caller indicated that the male party was unconscious and appeared to be having seizures and had stopped breathing,” police added.

The 911 caller then began performing CPR on the individual until first responders arrived and “demonstrated that the victim was in sudden cardiac arrest,” officials said.
“Wellesley first responders administered multiple shocks from the AED between providing CPR and breathing to the victim.” The police said. “The last shock delivered by the AED to the victim appeared to revive him as he regained a pulse.”
The victim was then taken to a local hospital.
