Maharashtra: Signs of defeat in Mahayoti clear, CPMC hints at contesting elections.

Maharashtra politics is showing signs of upheaval. As the MD elections draw near, signs of a rift are beginning to emerge in Mahayoti. Leaders of BJP, NCP (Ajitpur Group) and Shiv Sena (Shinde Group) involved in Mahayoti have been giving statements which show that all is not well in Mahayoti. Now the NCP has indicated the possibility of contesting the elections on the DMCA.

On Saturday, NCP leader Nawab has demanded to contest the municipal corporation elections while shouting ‘Khud’ at a meeting in Malik. It is only after the demand of Nawab Malik that Ajit Pawar may choose to separate from Mahayoti. The NCP held a meeting in Mumbai on Saturday to discuss the matter. In this meeting, Nawab Malik, Member of Assembly Sana Malik and Siddharth Kamble, many parties and party candidates were present.

Nawab Malik has said in this meeting that not more than 14 municipal servants can be selected from the party in Mumbai. “It is a stain for us to erase that we have to work hard at our booth level and contest,” said Nawab. Not only that, Nawab Malik asserted, “Until A party does not have its own power, until then there is no talk with the party.” Below asked for the courage and readiness to self-select and contest elections to follow the CP. Nawab Malik said, “Be it BBP or any party, there is no permanent partner in politics. A lot of people have their eyes fixed on you. If we have power we can influence ourselves in Mumbai Mahanagar Palika.
