The government had allocated Rs 20 crore to the Waqf Board in the budget, out of which Rs 10 crore had been ordered to be given to the Waqf Board, but the order was now withdrawn.

Maharashtra’s acting Shinde government issued an order on November 28 to immediately release Rs 10 crore to the State Waqf Board, and there was a flurry of speculation that the government had taken a ‘U-turn’. The decision to immediately release Rs 10 crore to the Maharashtra Waqf Board was withdrawn amid political upheaval. It is being said that such an order was issued due to some mistake.

Notably, Regional Development issued an order on November 28 to immediately release Rs 10 crore to the Waqf Board. Rajya Sabha member Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena UBT also questioned this and said, “There is a tug-of-war going on in Mahayavati, the name of the Chief Minister has not been decided yet, everything is being looked at.” PM leader and Minister Amit Shah should decide meanwhile Rs 10 crore was given to the State Waqf Board. On which (Waqf Board) they are doing full politics, this decision is dangerous. This is their hypocrisy.

The government had allocated Rs 20 crore to the Waqf Board in the budget, out of which the order to immediately release Rs 10 crore to the Waqf Board is on November 28. An installment payment of Rs 2 crore was also made to the Regional Welfare and Settlement Board in June this year and it was announced that the remaining amount would be paid after payment. VHP (Vishu Hindustani Parish) also made its opinion clear in this. VHP Konkan region secretary Mohan Salikar asked why is the state government bowing down? Is she trying to please them? At the same time Parva said that this will not be tolerated.

After VHP’s opposition, the statement of Maharashtra BJP President Chandrasekhar Bawanklay also came out. You said that the money allocated by the state government for Waqf Board Digitization. This step is necessary to fix errors. This has helped to misidentify land from Hindus, tribals and backward classes.
