Liverpool clearly missed the impact. Ibrahim Konati Sometimes, though both Joe Gomez And Quansah hasn’t had as many opportunities to hone in recently. Kelleher has been innocent since his appointment. Allisonand he will be disappointed by his mistake at the end of the game.

Arne Slott, 7 — Liverpool looked better after the second half and the slot substitute made an immediate impact to level the game at 2-2, before eventually going ahead. A well organized game by the Reds head coach.

GK Caoimhín Kelleher, 5 — There was little he could do about Isak’s superb effort, though, as the Liverpool goalkeeper prevented Gordon from doubling Newcastle’s lead from a great chance in the first half. Unfortunate not to put out Newcastle’s second, but at fault for a third as the Magpies equalized in the 90th minute.
DF Andy Robertson6 — He looked to support the attack with well-timed forward runs, and he asked questions of the defense with some crosses into the box.
DF Virgil van Dijk6 — Assured and often won the ball back when challenged for him, but could have stepped up early to play Ask offside for the opener. A strong challenge slowed Newcastle’s counter-attack towards the end of the match.
DF Joe Gomez, 5 — Blocked an effort from Gordon in the second half, but then allowed him to get on his strong foot before scoring. Careful when moving the ball forward, but struggled to isolate with Isak.
DF Jarell Quansah, 6 — He was deployed at right-back for Liverpool and defended well, while he was unlucky not to register an assist after a quick run and pass found Salah in the danger zone. Newcastle could have been more aware of running back Gordon before the second.
MF Ryan Gravenbruch5 — Not at his usual best on the night, and was taken over on too many occasions. Substituted in the 67th minute by Dominic Soboszlai.
MF Alexis McAllister6 — Unlucky with his effort in the 14th minute and then hit the post seconds later. Salah opened up down the right before Liverpool equalised. Strictly booked for a foul that didn’t amount to much, which means he will miss the Merseyside derby. Everton at the end of the week.
MF Curtis Jones, 7 — Be precise with the passage and try to push things in the right direction. Salah got through with a good ball in the first half. Timed his run in the 50th minute before connecting with Salah’s pass to finish off Pope.
FW Cody Gakpo5 — Involved in the first half outside of some positive work in the box, but saw his effort blocked after cutting inside. Threatened with a volley to force a corner in the second half, and then crossed the goal but just missed. Darwin Nunez On the previous post.
FW Darwin Nunez, 5 — His end result could have been better as he led Liverpool’s counter-attacks, with Salah at his side behind the Egypt international. At the last post Liverpool were close to getting in front but Gakpo was a fraction of a second late.
FW Mohamed Salah, 10 — It is unclear how Salah prepared for the second half, but it was one of the best 45 minutes of his Liverpool career. Two goals and an assist, with a moment of magic with elite footwork before the effort went off the bar.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Gomez, 67′) 8 — Made an immediate impact when coming on, winning possession back before making a great run down the line and assisting Salah for Liverpool’s second equalizer of the match. Booked against Gordon for his first foul of the match.
Dominik Sobozli (Grevenbruch, 67′) 6 — was appointed to an advanced role. Set up Liverpool’s press well and spread Newcastle’s midfield with intelligent runs.
Luis Diaz (Gakpo, 67′) 6 — Worked hard on the left and fueled Liverpool’s counter-attacks. Always looked to beat his marker and was bright in the box, cutting inside his right foot before attempting to work on goal.
