Lily-Rose Depp wants what’s rightfully hers, “privacy.”
The actress spoke about the complexities of being in the public eye while maintaining her sense of self.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph Published on December 29, the 25-year-old actress, who will star in the upcoming horror remake. Nosferatushared his thoughts on balancing fame and privacy.
“Every job comes with a set of circumstances and its own set of circumstances. [fame] There’s a variety of them,” Depp explained.
“The importance to me is to maintain privacy and a sense of fundamentalism and security. [what] Yours truly.”
Depp, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, made her screen debut in the 2014 film. Tusk. Her career took off, with a prominent role as a pop star in the HBO series 2023 Idolwhere he starred alongside The Weeknd.
However, with her burgeoning career, Depp has faced increased scrutiny — something she acknowledges as part of the territory.
“People are interested in things they’re not necessarily interested in,” he noted.
For Depp, preserving a sense of anonymity is vital to his craft as an actor.
“An actor’s job is to get into a character and, like, melt into it — and make the audience believe that you are the character,” he said.
“To do this, it’s important to protect a sense of anonymity – they don’t have to know ‘you’ very well, ’cause you want them to think of you as other characters.”
