Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp breaks down her role in the horror film, Nosferatu.
In describing Alan Hutter’s role in Robert Eggers’ directorial debut, Lilley claimed that his character had an active role in the tragic story of Count Orlok.
He praised director and writer Eggers, who scripted the character in such a way that it told the story from his perspective rather than anyone else’s.
“I think he really gave voice to the character that he wouldn’t necessarily have at the time.”
“Because, of course, being a woman looked very different back then.”
The 25-year-old actress said this digital spy, “There was basically little room for a woman to have any complications about it, or any kind of mental struggle that was easily dismissed.”
Depp believes that Ellen’s character not only ‘gives voice to the female perspective but also deepens the emotional appeal of this story’.
