King Charles is taking on royal duties with renewed vigor as he makes major changes to his team ahead of his major tour in less than two weeks.
The monarch’s King’s Foundation underwent a major makeover in the last quarter of last year to mark the major changes put in place by Charles.
To mark its 35th anniversary, the charity, which focuses on practical education and training programs aimed at building stronger communities and transforming lives, has announced its new advocates.
King Charles dubs rock legend Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster as ambassadors for the King’s Foundation – actress Sienna Miller and football The latest addition after the legend David Beckham.
Following the accolade, Sir Rod said he was “delighted to be on board” and “looks forward to helping us with this worthy cause, particularly during such an important year for the charity.” ”
Meanwhile, Penny said, “It’s been an honor to work with the Foundation and I can’t wait to meet more inspiring people who both learn with and work for the organization.”
He added that as a volunteer special constable, the foundation’s approach to building communities, access to green spaces to build better and healthier places was “particularly important” to him.
The new roles come as the monarch prepares to travel to Poland on January 27 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Holocaust at Auschwitz.
It will be Charles’ first royal visit of 2025 as he undergoes cancer treatment.
