Katie Holmes will always have her daughter Suri Cruise’s back.
The actress, 45, hit back at a backlash online after she slammed a misleading report about her 18-year-old daughter’s alleged inheritance.
On Sunday, Holmes made a headline The Daily Mail who claimed, “Sorry Cruise the Millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for him, too.”

In the caption, Holmes added “enough,” directly denying the publication.
The incident sparked a debate in the comments section of Holmes’ post, where one user shared his perspective on privilege.
“God the problems you guys face. Hey are you worried if you can pay this month’s rent and eat? No? Yeah or me, I wish those were my problems,” the commenter wrote.
Acknowledging Holmes’ hard work and upbringing, the user added, “Big picture dear. A story in a rag media outlet, when in some parts of the world there are mothers who hope their daughters live that day. It will remain only the point of view.”
Holmes responded thoughtfully, agreeing but stressing the importance of protecting his daughter.
“I disagree,” he wrote. “But in today’s world, I don’t want a target on my child’s back. It’s dangerous.”
