The Princess of Wales made a personal visit to thank staff at the hospital where she is being treated for cancer.
Catherine met medical staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital in west London on Tuesday morning, thanking them for their care and compassion.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Princess wanted to travel both to thank the incredible team, but also to highlight the world-leading care and treatment that Marsden provides.”
She also spoke to and offered her support to cancer patients, her most important solo royal engagement since her treatment ended.
It has been almost a year since Catherine’s health problems first came to light – with an announcement last January that she had undergone stomach surgery.

Since the end of her treatment she has gradually returned to more public events, including Remembrance Sunday and her Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey, which were seen as positive signs of her recovery.
The princess has now made her first major engagement of 2025 – a return to the hospital where she was treated, to meet her supporters at the Royal Marsden, which specializes in cancer treatment and research.
Catherine is now becoming joint royal patron of the hospital, with her husband Prince William already a patron.
