Body of missing person found at landfill site.
Essex Police said the body has been identified as 46-year-old Kamali Tarhan, who went missing from Chelmsford on November 19.
He said the search for the missing person has now been completed and his family has been informed.
The force is continuing to appeal for information about a suspect, identified as Ceyhan Dunler, 38, from Chelmsford, who is said to have left the country via Stansted Airport that day. It was the day Mr. Tarhan had last contact with anyone.
Cyprian Alley, 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with assisting an offender and has been taken into custody. He is due to stand trial at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 15.
Police said the landfill site is in Essex but did not reveal the location.
Det Ch Insp Louise Metcalfe said: “Specialist officers have been working diligently at the landfill site for 45 days in conditions which have severely damaged their resilience.”
Inquiries at the landfill site are expected to continue for several days, the force said.
Mr. Tarhan was last seen In the early hours of November 19 at The Globe Pub on Rainsford Road in Chelmsford.
Police said he may have later gone to Barista, a bar and restaurant on Duke Street, but CCTV did not show him leaving the venue.
He was reported missing later that evening when he failed to show up for work.

“During this difficult time, we have been in regular contact with Kamali’s family. They will continue to be supported by specialist officers as they take some time to come to terms with the news.”
