Ana De Armas is coming to the world of John Wick sooner than you think.
The actress is officially entering the world of action. Ballerinathe next installment in the blockbuster franchise. Previously helmed by Keanu Reeves, the spin-off is set to premiere on June 6, 2025.
Ahead of its release, a new feature will debut for Lionsgate. From the World of John Wick: The Ballerina during a Comic-Con Brazil panel, which fans can watch live on YouTube this Sunday at 2pm PT.
Ballerina takes place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) and follows De Armas as Eve Macro, a dancer-turned-assassin seeking revenge for the death of her father.
The cast includes Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves, who reprises his role as John Wick.
Directed by Len Wiseman, the film features a script by Shay Heaton, based on characters created by Derek Kolstad. The film is produced by Basil Ivanek, Erica Lee, and Chad Stelsky under Thunder Road Films/87 Eleven.
Since its inception, John Wick (2014) has become a global phenomenon, grossing over $86 million worldwide. The franchise crosses the $1 billion mark in 2023. John Wick: Chapter 4.
Along with Ballerina, the John Wick universe is set to expand further.
Donnie Yen will return as the blind assassin Kane in a new Lionsgate project, and a prequel anime film is also in the works.
