The land allotment scheme, which will conclude with a draw on December 27, offers different plot sizes.
The rapid pace of development in Greater Noida, especially around the upcoming Jewar International Airport, has created an unprecedented demand for land in the region. On October 31, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), also known as Yamuna Vikas Pradhikaran, launched a much-anticipated land allotment scheme for plots near the airport. The scheme, which was launched on the occasion of Diwali, saw a huge response from potential buyers.
So far, 34,180 applicants have paid the registration fee and submitted their forms to secure one of the 451 plots available in the region. With the deadline for applications on November 30, the authority has already collected Rs 1,493 crore in registration fees alone, before selling a single plot. This amount marks a significant financial boost for YEIDA.
Overview of the scheme
The land allotment scheme, which will conclude with a draw on December 27, offers various plot sizes ranging from 120 to 260 square meters. The distribution is as follows:
- 120 Sqm Plots: Total 100 plots are available. Till date, 12,702 persons have purchased application forms, and 6,987 of them have paid the registration fee.
- 162 Sqm Plots: A total of 169 plots are occupied. So far 18,963 people have purchased the forms out of which 10,774 have submitted the forms along with the required fee.
- 200 Sqm Plots: The scheme includes 172 plots of this size. A remarkable 26,321 people have shown interest by purchasing application forms, of which 15,347 applicants have completed the process by submitting their forms and fees.
- 250 Sqm Plots: There are only 6 plots of this size available, yet 1,070 people have purchased application forms, and 625 have paid the registration fee.
- 260 Sqm Plots: A total of 4 plots are available in this category, and despite the limited number, 810 people have purchased farms, of which 447 have completed the registration process.
Large scale demand in growing region
The overwhelming response to the scheme reflects the growing interest in the land around the Jewar Airport, which is poised to become one of the country’s largest aviation hubs. The region’s infrastructure development, along with the promise of improved connectivity and increased economic activity, has made it a hotbed of real estate speculation and investment.
The success of the land scheme is not only an indication of the demand for plots but also highlights the growing confidence in the region’s future prospects. The authority’s decision to launch the scheme has attracted not only local residents but also investors from across the state and even outside Uttar Pradesh.
Financial loss for YEIDA
The Rs 1,493 crore collected by YEIDA through registration fees represents a substantial financial windfall for the authority, which will help fund further infrastructure development in the region. The funds are expected to contribute to the creation of basic facilities, roads and utilities, ensuring that the land becomes fully usable once allotted.
The high registration fees and number of applicants reflect the attractiveness of the region and the growing demand for land, as many people want to take advantage of the opportunities created by the Jewar Airport project. Large-scale financial inflows may also signal further investment and growth opportunities for both public and private entities in the region.
Future prospects
As the application deadline approaches, the final number of applicants is expected to increase further, as interest in land near the airport increases. The lucky draw will be held on December 27 to determine the lucky winners who will be awarded the plots of their choice.
This land allotment scheme has clearly positioned Yamuna Vikas Pradhikaran as a key player in the region’s real estate development, and the area around Jewar Airport is fast becoming popular with home buyers and investors in Uttar Pradesh. is emerging as one of the most sought-after destinations for
