Jay Z Carter’s lawyer reacts to the rapper’s association with Sean “Daddy” Combs during the sexual assault trial.
During a press conference on December 16 Stop nationAt the New York headquarters, attorney Alex Spiro addressed the rapper’s public reputation and ongoing felony charges.
He also spoke about Jay-Z’s alleged connection to the case of Combs, who is currently behind bars on fraud and trafficking charges.
“Mr. Carter has nothing to do with the Mr. Combs case or Mr. Combs, they knew each other professionally for many years, just as people in all professions know each other,” Sparrow added.
“At the music awards, they support each other. If you go to the NBA All-Star Game, they support each other. That’s how professions work,” said Carter’s legal representative.
Notably, he also asserted that claims suggesting a close relationship between Carter and Coombs were fabricated.
The lawyer’s remarks came during a press conference where he was expecting the judge to throw out the case against Jay-Z.
For the uninitiated, the accuser, who identified herself as Jane Doe, alleged that Jay-Z and Combs sexually assaulted her in 2000 during MTV’s Widow Music afterparty.
Last week, the woman claimed that the artists raped her when she was just 13 years old.
In response to the allegations, Jay Z denied the allegations and demanded that authorities reveal the woman’s identity or drop the case altogether.
