Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has filed his first legal countersuit against an unnamed person accusing him of sexual assault amid a legal dispute.
According to In Touch Weeklythe 55-year-old rap icon has asked a federal judge to compel the woman to reveal her identity, alleging that she is part of a calculated campaign against him.
It should be noted that on December 8, an anonymous woman accused the rapper of sexually assaulting her in 2000 when she was 13 years old.
She alleged that Jay-Z and her close friend Sean ‘Daddy’ Combs sexually assaulted her during an MTV Music Awards afterparty.
However, Daddy is already behind bars for fraud and human trafficking charges.
According to details in the lawsuit, Jay-Z now aims to challenge the complainant’s request to keep his identity confidential.
According to reports, the rap star is now seeking to have the entire case dismissed unless the accuser reveals his identity, arguing that the controversy is damaging her reputation.
One of his legal experts said, “For months, there has been an extortion campaign. [Jay-Z] under cover of darkness. The campaign was nefarious and calculated to force payment of huge sums of money.”
“[Jay-Z] X million dollars must be paid regardless of the truth, or when [Jay-Z] refused to pay and instead took steps to prove his innocence,” the lawyer added.
Additionally, the Young Forever musician’s lawyer explained, “Jay-Z has never been accused of engaging in any sexual misconduct.”
