Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz are still friends, there is no beef between them.
Foxx and Diaz show off their enduring friendship in a new Netflix promo for their upcoming film, Back in actiondispelling any feud rumours.
The two sing about their 25-year bond while promoting the Seth Gordon-directed film in a light-hearted video released on Friday.
“Back in action! Back in action! Satisfaction! We’re back in action,” Foxx, 57, sang while playing the piano. Turning to Diaz, 52, he added, “People don’t even realize how long we’ve been friends.”
“It’s true,” Diaz confirmed. “Since we were together on any given Sunday, that was in 1999. And now, we’re back in action, baby!”
Fox humorously reflected on their longtime friendship, saying, “We’ve been friends since before Apple started making iPods, and now they make iPhones, not iPods.”
Diaz urged Fox to share more milestones, which led to playful banter about pop culture moments they’ve experienced together.
“We lived through Keyboard Cat, Pizza Rats, NFT, DVD, Cornkid, Ben Dead, Salt B, Left Shark, Pink Sauce, Grammy Shack and ‘The Dress,'” Fox sneered. A debate ensued with Diaz over whether the infamous dress was “white and gold” or “black and blue”.
The two also reminisced about their previous collaborations, incl Annie In 2014, after which Diaz retired from acting to focus on family life. Married to Benji Madden since 2015, she has two children, Radix, almost 5, and Cardinal, almost 9 months.
Now, Diaz and Fox are reuniting. Back in actionis set to debut on Netflix in January. It marks Diaz’s return to acting and reaffirms the strength of their two-decade-old friendship.
