Islamabad has strongly reiterated that there are no talks with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), insisting that talks between Pakistan and China with the outlawed outfit are high on the agenda. There is no suggestion of inclusion.

“First of all, there is no dialogue between the government of Pakistan and the TTP,” Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch told a weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Friday.

“Pakistan’s position on talks with the TTP is very clear and has been reiterated on several occasions. Secondly, Pakistan has on several occasions asked to start talks with the TTP.
