According to Balenciaga, The Zero “takes footwear to its essence” by pushing the concept of the barefoot shoe to its extreme. Crafted entirely from EVA foam and 3D molded, the shoe leaves almost the entire foot exposed, with only a rounded heel and a large toe enclosure holding the foot in place. The shoe comes in black, tan, white and brown colorways, but given the brand’s reputation for high prices, expect it to come with a hefty price tag.
Online reactions to The Zero have been mixed. Although some fans found the design unusual, they were excited to try it out. “Whatever it is, I want it,” one comment read.
