LAHORE (PR) Under the supervision of Secretary Communication and Works (C&W) Department Sohail Ashraf, the work on the program of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Sirkeen Bahl Punjab Khushal, is going on throughout the province.
Secretary Communication and Works is also personally inspecting the construction work and visited the road construction project from Quaid-e-Azam Interchange Lahore to Wagah Border including 13 km long service road.
The field team briefed the Secretary on the Rs 3282 million project. The secretary asked the authorities concerned about the construction of drains for water drainage on both sides of the road.
He directed the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) officials to immediately resolve the sewage problem before constructing the service road. The secretary asked the concerned officers to ensure the end of encroachments at Jalo Mor.
Further, on the direction of Secretary Communication and Works, Additional Secretary Abdullah Nair visited various districts under the Sarakin Bahl Punjab Khushal Program and reviewed the rehabilitation and construction of roads in Attock, Fateh Jang, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Kot Momin, and Mandi Bahauddin He checked the quality and standard of materials used in the construction and said that the work of extension of single lane corridor on GT Road and U-turn in Gujranwala is progressing rapidly.
