With changing social norms and the rise of social media, many young people are struggling to make informed decisions about their careers and lives. Many students, influenced by social or family pressures, fail to assess their interests and abilities. This inevitably leads to dissatisfaction, failure and in many cases depression later in life.
It is important for parents, educators and policy makers to address this issue. Career counseling should be made an integral part of the education system to help students make informed decisions.
