Indian Railways Two special trains for Jammu and Kashmir! Indian Railways plans to introduce two new train services in the coming month to enhance Kashmir connectivity.
A centrally heated sleeper train will run between New Delhi and Srinagar, offering a 13-hour journey over snow-capped mountains and an elevation of 359 meters. Katra, which serves as the entry point to the shrine of Mata Vishnu Devi and attracts many pilgrims, is currently connected to New Delhi by the 16-coach Vande Bharat Express that runs six days a week. .
“Once the Katra-Baramula Vande Bharat is operational, possibly by the end of next month, passengers will be able to travel seamlessly from New Delhi to Katra on our existing Vande Bharat,” a railway official said. And then will shift to Baramulla to reach Srinagar.”
