India will witness only one of the four lunar eclipses in 2025.

New Delhi: There will be two solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses in 2025, but only one of them will be visible in India, according to officials at the Jiwaji Observatory in Ujjain.
Superintendent of the observatory Dr. Rajendra Prakash Gupta said that the lunar eclipse series in 2025 will begin on March 14 with a total lunar eclipse. “This event will not be visible in India as it will happen here during daytime,” he explained. As reported by PTI.
The year 2025 will be the year of celestial events. The first lunar eclipse of the year will be a total lunar eclipse on March 14, but it will not be visible in India. The solar eclipse will be visible across the Americas, Western Europe and the Atlantic Ocean.
Later, on March 29, there will be a partial solar eclipse, but again, India will miss out. The event will be visible in parts of North America, Greenland, Iceland, Europe and Russia.
However, Indian sky watchers can look forward to a total lunar eclipse on September 7-8, which will be visible across India. The eclipse will also be visible in other parts of Asia, Europe, Antarctica, Australia and the Indian Ocean region, making it an important event for astronomy enthusiasts in India.
The last solar eclipse of the year will be a partial solar eclipse on September 21-22. The eclipse will only be visible in areas like New Zealand, the South Pacific and West Antarctica.
The year 2024 saw four celestial events – a penumbral eclipse, a total solar eclipse, a partial lunar eclipse, and an annular solar eclipse.
