KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan registered 5 new political parties last year while the number of voters increased by 3,668,550.
According to Election Commission of Pakistan, the five newly registered political parties include Balochistan Qaumi Ittehad, Pakistan Awami Force, Pakistan Khitmat Khalq League, Technology Movement Pakistan and Pakhtunkhwa Awami National Party.
According to the data, the number of male voters increased by 1,813,123 and the number of female voters by 1,855,424. The overall vote growth rate in the country during this period was 2.85%, 2.86% in Punjab, 2.75% in Sindh, 2.77% in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2.87% in Balochistan and 6.60% in Islamabad. The cumulative annual growth rate of the electorate was 3.11%, which is 0.56% higher than the annual population growth rate of 2.55%.
