LAHORE: The Lahore Police on Thursday released the 2024 performance report highlighting significant achievements in anti-drug trafficking and anti-gambling operations.
According to the police spokesman, the police detained 10,566 people and registered 10,251 cases in drug-related crimes and recovered 7,805 kilograms of hashish, 436 kilograms of opium, 285 kilograms of heroin, 176 kilograms of ice and 77,190 liters of alcohol from their possession. of The police arrested 5,065 suspects for gambling-related activities and registered cases against 1,212 suspects and recovered over Rs 18.9 million from the accused.
The CCPO has directed the police to take strict action against the accused involved in drug peddling and gambling.
