Tulisa Contostavlos says she has felt “compelled” since leaving I’m A Celeb and is taking a break to focus on her mental health.
The N-Dubz star and former X-Factor judge was the third contestant to be voted off the ITV show.
Speculation ran rampant after she removed all her Instagram posts about the series and failed to appear on spin-off show I am a Celebrity… Unpacked.
But in an Instagram video, Talisa says she’s “getting a lot of attention” that’s hard to deal with.
“A lot of bombast, mostly in a positive way but because it’s been a while for me, I can get overwhelmed very easily,” says The Sight Of You singer.
“I just need to take a little time for myself and just chill and it’s all just feeling a little off at the moment.”
Tulisa also says she’s decided to archive all the posts she shared while she was on the show, calling them “random” and “not the way I do my Insta.” will”.
“When the time is right and I have a little time to process, I’ll make my own reels of the best bits that I really like,” she says.
‘I don’t think any of my campmates are fake’
Speaking in an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, Talisa also explained comments that suggested some of her camp mates were “fakes”.
“I don’t think any of my campmates are fake,” she says.
She says she was “thinking out loud” and only meant to suggest that some friendships will be stronger than others.
“I love my jungle friends, I love my jungle family.
“But the friendships that people have really, really nurture and become something like, ‘Wow this is a friend for life.’
“That’s all I was trying to say.”
Being in the woods with people she had just met, she says, was difficult for her as “an introvert.”
“And then I come out and I see a lot of attention and I’m like, wow that’s a lot.”
The 36-year-old from London made her name as part of N-Dubz in the 2000s before launching her solo career and later appearing as a judge on X-Factor in 2011.
She largely withdrew from the public eye when, in 2014, allegations were made against her after an undercover reporter for The Sun claimed she had a deal to supply Class A drugs.
