How to Make Nordstrom’s Tomato Basil Soup
You’ll start by sauteing the carrots and onions in a large pot for about five minutes. Once they soften, add a pinch of salt, dried basil, and pepper and cook for about a minute, or until the basil is fragrant.

My honest review
After I poured the soup into a bowl and garnished it with some fresh basil, I dipped my spoon into the soup and took my first sip. It was really delicious. It was perfectly tomato-y and velvety smooth. It had the right balance of sweet and salty and just enough acid to keep things interesting.
Fresh basil adds a lovely floral touch that you don’t get from pre-made versions at the store. I had fun with a simple piece of mine Baguettewhich I used to sop up every last bit of soup in my bowl.
