Mack was pronounced dead Dec. 21 at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, the Jefferson County coroner confirmed to CBS News. According to the coroner’s report, he died two days ago from severe injuries he sustained when he fell from a moving vehicle.
The coroner said the circumstances surrounding Mack’s death are being investigated by the police department in Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham where the actor lived and the incident occurred.
Oh Post Mack’s Instagram account announced Sunday that he had died but did not share details about what happened.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Mack went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were short, but he accomplished so much and touched everyone so significantly. Who he met,” the post’s caption read in part.
A memorial service for Mack is scheduled for this Saturday, December 28, at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama, and will be available to live stream, according to a second. Post shared on social media on Wednesday and a death.
Death is described as “reflective and brooding” but “when he has set his mind on something”.
“Hudson’s personality was one of a kind,” she said. “He was confident, convicted in his convictions, spontaneous and quick-witted. He never let facts get in the way of a funny story, and he loved a friendly joke. He was making others laugh when he was laughing. ”
Mack was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, where he played football and was a member of the school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes along with Guy. His acting career began in 2017, when he played a younger version of Ansel Elgort’s titular character in the action crime film “Baby Driver”.
