ISLAMABAD: Health Services Academy (HSA) has successfully conducted a very special recruitment drive for various posts in various categories (PPS 5-11) under Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) projects of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination. Done with

This phase of the screening test, involving around 10,000 candidates, marks another milestone in HSA’s efforts to modernize the recruitment process while supporting key national development initiatives. The recruitment drive targeted key roles for implementing transformation projects under the ministry’s development schemes, including Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR), Common Management Unit (CMU), a Health Workforce Development and Epidemiology Unit. Each of these projects contributes to strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare system, enhancing pandemic preparedness and improving disease surveillance and response capabilities.

The tests, tailored to a number of categories from PPS 5-11, were designed to assess candidates’ skills and knowledge specific to their roles. This process was done in line with HSA’s signature commitment to transparency, efficiency, and fairness. Advanced technologies including Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) systems ensure fast, accurate classification and quota-based classification while maintaining the highest quality of recruitment.

HSA officials noted that these recruitments directly contribute to enhancing Pakistan’s pandemic preparedness and improving the integration of public-private partnerships in healthcare. He highlighted that the One Health Workforce Development Project aims to develop a cohesive and well-trained workforce capable of addressing public health challenges, including future pandemics. Similarly, he added, the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response Project seeks to improve disease surveillance and outbreak management across the country. He emphasized that the success of this recruitment drive reflects the operational expertise of Federal Secretary M/o NHSRC Nadeem Mehboob, HSA Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Shahzad Ali Khan and HSA Controller of Examinations Nadeem Sajjad Kayani. His leadership ensured seamless coordination between the privacy, authentication, location management and security teams, delivering results that exceeded expectations.

Recruitment of skilled professionals under these PSDP projects ensures that key initiatives like IDSR and One Health are equipped with the right talent to achieve their goals. This screening phase not only addresses immediate staffing needs, but also supports long-term goals of improving health care delivery and pandemic preparedness in Pakistan.
