How did Kelly Ripa approve of the adult children’s holiday card photo?

Kelly Ripa is done for the holidays.

The talk show host found a creative and hilarious way to get her three kids to agree to a family photo for a 2024 holiday card.

During the Kelly and Mark live together. On the Friday, Dec. 13 episode, the talk show host shared the story of her clever trick with husband Mark Consuelos.

“So you know, I just made my holiday card,” Ripa, 54, said. “This year, by the way, I got the kids to approve a picture of us all together.”

Ripa revealed her strategy, saying she sent her children — Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21 — as inspiration for an unconventional option.

“What I did was, I sent my kids a picture of Madonna and me and her kids and I said, ‘This is a family Christmas card this year unless you approve of the three of you in a picture of my dad and me. Here are your options.

According to Consuelos, 53, the humorous ultimatum worked like a charm.

“They all responded very quickly,” he noted.

“She literally said, ‘Do whatever you want,'” Ripa added, before jokingly announcing, “So I’m using Madonna and me and her kids.”

Earlier this week, Ripa and Consuelos gave fans a glimpse of their New York City townhouse during a video tour. Architectural Digest.

The couple revealed three large paintings of eyeballs outside their bedroom, an artistic nod to their children.

“By the way, these are our children’s eyes,” explained Consuelos, adding an emotional touch. “They don’t live here anymore, so when we leave our bedroom it feels like they’re still with us.”

“And I could stare into my kids’ eyes forever. I think they’re awesome,” Ripa said.
